About Me and My Art

My name is Laura Locke and I love to make creative and imaginative things out of plastic juice pouches. What started out as just a fun project to do with my kids has turned into an obsession. Recycling juice pouches is not a new idea but I have taken the idea and made it into my own with one of a kind designs that think outside the juice pouch.

All of the juice pouches that I use are recycled from Knole's Elementary school in Flagstaff, AZ (my son's school). I collect them, clean them, and sew them together. As a thank you to the school and the kids, all of the extra juice pouches that I collect (and don't use) are sent to a recycling company that gives the school PTO 2 cents for every juice pouch.

There are unlimited possibilities of things to make with juice pouches and unlimited ways to design them and make them beautiful and unique. I plan on exploring them all and you can follow my creative process here and purchase the results at LLDesignJuicePouches.etsy.com.

I will be posting new ideas and tutorials, exploring the world of juice pouches and recycling, and sharing things about myself and my family along the way. I hope to elevate recycling juice pouches to an art form and show everyone how getting locked into design can turn trash into treasure.
