How to Dry Juice Pouches

Before you start creating make sure that your pouches are completely dry. I have tried many different ways to dry juice pouches. There are a few options for drying. Some more eco-friendly than others and some more efficient.
Option 1- Hand drying
Use a clean dry towel or paper towel to dry the inside and outside of each juice pouch. Be sure to get into all of the corners of the pouch.
Hand drying can be labor intensive and time consuming when you need a lot of pouches to finish a project.
Option 2- Air drying
After shaking out the extra water the pouches can be set up on a drying rack or hung by clothespins on a laundry line. Shake the pouch during drying to help water that collects at the bottom of the pouch to dry faster.
Depending on your climate and temperature, air drying juice pouches can take anywhere from a couple of days to a week in order for them to be completely dry.
Air drying can take a while and can take up a lot of space. If you have space in the kitchen or craft room you can stretch a laundry line a couple of inches bellow the ceiling against the wall.

Option 3- Put them in the clothes dryer
Yes, it can be done and it works great. In order for the water to be able to evaporate from inside the juice pouch you first have to prepare the juice pouches so that they will not flatten as they are tumbling in the dryer and trap water inside them.

Open up the inside of the pouch. While one hand is holding the inside of the pouch open use your other hand to pinch together the sides of the juice pouch in the middle of the pouch. The finished pouch should now have more of an hour glass shape.

Put the juice pouches in the dryer on a medium setting and dry for about 60 minutes. When the drying cycle is done check the pouches to see if they are dry by feeling the inside of the pouch. If they are not fully dry do another cycle for 30 minutes. When the juice pouches are dry take them out and flatten them out.
You are now ready to begin creating.
